NAB air pilot friction brake is widely applied in unwinding machine. It is usually matched with safety chuck, air expanding shaft for paper film core working.

Working thoery of NAB air brake:

After inputting air source, friction pad and lining disc connected, brake linked, so as to make rotating parts stopped. When exhausting air source, this brake released, then stopped part working again.

Why NAB air brake can be used for constent tension controller?

NAB air brake's character is that its braking torque will be changed with air source changed, when air pressure larger, friction pads linked tighter then braking force is larger, too. When braking force is larger than actual working force, rotating parts will be stopped. When NAB pilot brake is used in packaging, printing, coating machine and other winding unwinding machine, it doesn't need braking only a certain tension force, so as to realize constent tension control. In this case, equiped with a solenoid valve to control air pressure, brake linked not so tight and produce a certain braking force.
